Fortnite Island is flipped in the last event of Chapter 2-Nation Online

Fortnite's big chapter ending event has just ended, this is a grand event. After an all-out war with UFOs, zombies and the Queen of Rubik's Cube, the player was rescued in a rescue mission led by Dashi Johnson. (Well, his role in the game.) Then, the island flipped over.

Let's step back a bit. The latest season of the game has always been about cubes. At the beginning of the event, a mysterious huge blue cube appeared on the map next to all the players in my lobby. Jumping to the cube will bounce the player away, but other than that, it doesn't do anything ominous. We can also see the cube queen in the distance, which has been floating in the energy ball in the center of the island for part of the season.

When the countdown reached 10 minutes, the evil laugh of the Rubik's Cube Queen echoed on the island, and the zombies began to lay eggs in front of our base. Fortunately, weapons are added to everyone's inventory, so players work hard to defend against the upcoming zombie soldiers (although zombies don't seem to pose any real threat).

When the clock returned to zero, an alarm sounded over the island, and the pyramid of the Rubik's Cube sparkled. She launched a beam of light into the sky and opened a huge portal, revealing a group of huge UFOs. In the seventh season of the game, there was only one UFO shadow on the island; the Rubik's Cube Queen brought an army.

UFOs and zombies approach the blue cube, and the player tries to resist them. But the battle seemed unwinnable at first, and when the UFO blew up the blue cube, things got worse and worse.

After that, the incident has undergone an interesting change, moving the angle of view under the surface of the island to a CGI cutscene. (It's a bit like Netflix made the Fortnite TV show.) The game's protagonist agent Jones is tied to a laboratory chair with a device on his head, and Dr. Sloan, who betrayed the player at the end of last season, seems to be about to end Jones' life. Then, a huge figure called the Foundation rushed in to save the day-he took off his mask and revealed that his actor, as suspected, was Dashi Johnson.

When Jones and the Foundation tried to escape to safety, two other characters dressed similarly to the Foundation rescued the players on the surface and took them to the inner island. Then the player can control to follow a person called a scientist to Jones and the Foundation. But in the process of escaping, the island began to overturn little by little.

In the end, the player arrives at Jones and the Foundation at zero (essentially a giant energy ball, which has always been a key plot point for Fortnite). The scientists assured everyone that we were safe, but then one of the giant zombies smashed a window, causing water to rush in and all of us were forced to leave.

Soon, my character surfaced, watching the island slowly tilt, completely vertical, and then fall in the other direction. This shattered the cube queen, causing the huge portal with the UFO to close. Then the island turned over all the way, revealing a whole new landscape. In the distance, you can see some new areas that need to be explored, but a tide quickly swept my player into the sea.

Now, Fortnite just shows that my player is at sea on the empty log. I can't move, there is hardly anything on the screen except me, my journal and the vast ocean. All this is reminiscent of the black hole that connects the transition between Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.

There is no timer or any indication when Chapter 3 can be played. However, if you want to get a sneak peek, the leaked trailer seems to have destroyed a lot of what you can expect.

This chapter started in October 2019 after a multi-day shutdown featuring black holes, and promoted Fortnite through events featuring first-person storytelling, arcade shooting against Marvel villains, and an exciting single-player event The growing narrative ambitions stabilize reality, and even perform missions in alien motherships full of cubes. The summary events in Chapter 2 take things one step forward, and now we will have to wait and see what Epic has prepared for Chapter 3.
