The red rock band will promote his new canned cocktail series under the red light.

Sammy Hagar is composing a new song "Father Time". A line in that piece asked: "When was the last time you did something for the first time?"

The 73-year-old Red Rocker asked himself this question. We have his answer this month.

On September 22, Hagar will hold a rooftop concert over the Las Vegas Strip at the Beer Park in Paris, Las Vegas. The performance starts at 6:30 pm and lasts about 30 minutes, or until the sun sets or the happy hour begins. Whichever comes first.

Approximately 200 invited guests and contest winners will participate in the beer park deck (register, go to RedRocker.com). Otherwise, the show will be broadcast on the pedestrian traffic on the Las Vegas Strip and the Parisian tent under the huge glowing balloon.

"I am very looking forward to doing this crazy thing that I have never done before," Chagall said in a telephone conversation on Saturday morning. "It was inspired by the Beatles, and they were one of the first to do this."

That legendary performance was held in January 1969 in the band’s Apple studio office building in London. In 1987, U2 also held a famous rooftop show in Los Angeles. David Letterman hosted a series of rooftop shows at The Late Show in Manhattan, and Paul McCartney's performance was particularly prominent. in 2009. There have been several striptease shows over the years (although there are very few performances on the roof). Before the Raiders home opener in September 2020, the Killers performed a rooftop show at Nobu Tower.

Hagar is also a successful entrepreneur and enthusiastic promoter. He is not interested in broadcasting free shows on (or above) the Las Vegas Strip, without letting it become a thing. So he seized the opportunity to promote his new Sammy's Beach Bar Cocktail Co. ready-to-drink cocktails (they come in four packs and come in four flavors). These products will be launched in Nevada, California and Texas at the end of this month.

In the Beer Park performance, Hagar led his band The Circle, which also included former Van Hellen bassist Michael Anthony, guitar master Vic Johnson and drummer Jason Bonham (the late Zeppelin drummer John Bonham) Son). The band is currently on tour and sold out before Hagar performs at The Strat Theatre from October 29th to 30th, November 5th to 6th, and November 12th to 13th.

After the beer park party, Hagar will continue the celebration at its Cabo Wabo Cantina at Planet Hollywood Resort.

"After we finish this, we will have another party," said the man who played the leading roles for Van Halen and Montrose before this and his outstanding solo career. "I mean, like, I know what to do. It's my business. They said, "Sami, what you are really good at is hosting parties. "I am a musician, yes. A musician who plays his own party."

Hagar quoted his "Father Time" lyrics when describing this unique performance.

"Since that sentence came out of my mouth, when I wrote this song, it has always been with me. I never thought about this, but it has always been in my heart," he said. "I think, you know, at my age, I feel like I have completed everything on this planet. But I haven't. There is more, I am ready."
