The new DORNIER air-jet weaving machine a1-a true all-rounder-provides innovative solutions for all weaving challenges today and in the future. a1 Based on the mature technology of the DORNIER system series, the use of a brand-new electronic control system and an application-oriented main drive concept based on three different systems is convincing.

The range of applications is extremely wide. Whether it is through simple cam motion, a jacquard head with 12,000 hooks, a dobby with up to 16 heald frames, or combined with DORNIER EasyLeno motion, the A1 is innovative, economical and innovative. Precision production of technical fabrics, home textiles and clothing fabrics-machine widths range from 150 cm to 540 cm (59 inches to 212 inches).

Numerous patented components, such as the DORNIER PIC system with DORNIER ServoControl-2 or DORNIER PneumaTucker, guarantee unparalleled process safety in air-jet weaving.

A1 applications range from technical textiles (such as the lightest spinnaker silk, tightly woven airbags or conveyor belts) to car and aircraft seat interiors. Egyptian cotton worsted or jacquard brocade fabric apparel fabrics, functional and sportswear fabrics, decorative home textiles and tablecloths with various width matching napkins, transparent curtains-all these products and more can be reliably on the A1 Produced with excellent quality.

DORNIER AIR-Jet weft insertion: very powerful and safe thanks to its unique reliability of weft insertion, the system is controlled by the patented Dornier Pic system with dornier Servocontrol-2, combined with the proven DORNIER rapier weaving machine With its unique shed geometry and long insertion window, the DORNIER a1 jet opens up new frontiers for air jet looms in terms of flexibility, efficiency and fabric quality.

DORNIER PIC achieves high process reliability. The patented DORNIER PIC system (permanent insertion control) recognizes the imprecise function of solenoid valves from the beginning, thus guaranteeing the highest process reliability. The function timing of the relay nozzle is permanently controlled by continuously comparing the set value and actual value of the sequential nozzle group timing ("status monitoring"), ensuring high-quality knitting and eliminating unnecessary maintenance shutdowns.

The faster response time and smaller dead volume of the new valve technology greatly reduces the air consumption of the main nozzle, relay nozzle and stretching nozzle. With the optional two nozzles per valve, the air consumption of the relay nozzles is further reduced, and the sequential nozzle group jets can be adjusted more accurately, resulting in a wider insertion window and gentler processing of the filling line.

Gentle weft processing to improve the appearance of the fabric. A weft feeder with layer separation and advanced electronics has been further developed to accurately measure the length of the more complex yarn required for one insertion through the shed. The optimized air flow of the main nozzle and the relay nozzle exerts a gentle acceleration on the weft yarn at the lowest tension level, allowing higher machine speeds with lower filling stop levels. Ultimately, this will reduce yarn hairiness and better final fabric quality.
